Definitions
A Practice Standard is the mandated and expected performance standard for a particular task.
A Practice Guideline is the recommended approach to a specific professional task and allows for professional judgement in decision making.
An Advisory Statement is issued to advise and provide guidance to practitioners on issues / practices they need to be aware of and adhere to.
Invitation for Feedback on Proposed Practice Standards
The Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (NSCP) is seeking input on proposed Practice Standards, and we encourage both registrants and members of the public to share their feedback.
Your insights are invaluable in shaping the standards that guide physiotherapy practice in Nova Scotia. Feedback can be submitted via email and we kindly ask that all submissions be sent prior to the submission due date to ensure they are considered.

- Standard of Practice for Addressing Sexual Misconduct and Sexual Abuse
- This proposed standard aligns with the National Model Standards of Practice for Physiotherapists in Canada and meets the requirements provided by mechanisms under the RHPA.
