Job description
The Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists is seeking a Deputy Registrar to provide organizational and operational leadership in fulfilling the College’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan. As a member of the College’s leadership team, the Deputy Registrar will report directly to the Registrar and assist in policy development, registration processes, and representing the College to registrants and the public. The Deputy Registrar will also assume the responsibilities of the Registrar in their absence or as delegated.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Registrar, Board, and committees in creating policies and programs.

Stay informed and up to date on relevant legislative, regulatory, and industry developments, and proactively communicate this information to members and the public.

Implement and enforce registration policies, procedures, and templates in accordance with the Act, Regulations, and By-Laws.

Provide advice and support to the designated committees in carrying out their business.

Contribute to College communications, including the development and execution of communication plans.

Assist with day-to-day operations, including office procedures, payroll, and finance tasks.

Respond to routine and non-routine inquiries from registrants, applicants, the public, government agencies, and partners.
Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (Health, Legal, Business, Administration).

5+ years of experience in a related role.

Comprehensive understanding of ethical and professional practices.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of regulatory developments and commitment to staying informed.
